This is indeed a special issue of the SECURITY POST which is being circulated to the members at the GLOBAL SECURITY CONFERENCE-09. Many significant things happened during this month which will have catalectic effects on the ways we administer our business of security and private investigation in India and abroad. State Governments have understood the wider role of CAPSI & APDI in training youth from rural India for making them eligible for gainful employment not only in India but also across the Seven Seas. The Government of Punjab not only took initiative to construct and run an excellent Security Training Academy at Jahan Khelan, Hoshiarpur, but announced its decision to set up another identical academy in its Malwa region. The Punjab Government aoce again took lead in forming The Punjab Police Security Coproration Limited to manage the training centres and also to organise employment opportunities for the Youth of Punjab. You association CAPSI has been given honour to represent Private Security Industry on the Board of Directors of this Corporation which will certainly go a long way in playing a significant role in the Security related affairs of the State. Similarly, the Government of Rajasthan has approved the idea of CAPSI to set up Rajasthan Institute of Security Education (RISE) in 7 districts of the State, to provide quality security knowledge to unemployed youth. CAPSI has been given 2 Pilot Projects to commence RISE Centres in Kota and Ajmer . This is really an amazing development for the entire security industry. The CAPSI Knowledge Foundation is working hard to take similar projects to other States so that well trained security guards are made available to security providers all over the country. We had significant inter-action with Ministry of Labour & Employment in which the issues of Worker's Welfare were discussed. A COMPLIANCE AUDIT PROGRAMME is being developed to ensure that every security guard is covered under governmental social welfare schemes like ESI, PF Pension etc. This will be a major welfare project of the CAPSI to ensure welfare of its 7 million workforce. The CAPSI & APDI shall be launching its own two projects under SECURITY EMPLOYEES WELFARE ACTIONS ( SEWA) to provide Low Cost Housing and secure future for their daughters under the “SECURE -THE GIRL CHILD" programme. All these schemes will need your TOTAL support so that you all run your business more effectively by making your GUARDSMEN & WOMEN a happy and willing worker.Enjoy your 4th National Conference and gain skills and knowledge from Global Security Masters.
With best wishes.
